Earlier this year, VW unveiled the all-new Volkswagen ID. R electric race car. The car has been in development for some time, and Volkswagen’s goal is clear with the ID. R: achieve a new record lap for electric vehicles on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, a 12.9-mile-long famous race track.

The ID. R is one powerful electric race warrior, cranking out 670 horsepower from it electric powertrain. It has also been designed with a huge focus on aerodynamics to up its top speed. Thanks to the unique design, the VW ID. R can reach 168 miles per hour.
